Lead bars come in two types. A 30% tin composite and a 20% tin composite, which is softer and easier to work with. |

You will use lead paddles to work and shape the lead. Some lead paddles are rounded and some flat. And people will sometimes cut the edges to a point. |

Use a tub of tallow to keep the lead paddle slick. If you don't use something, the heat will burn the wood of the lead paddle leaving wood chips in the lead. |
